Triathlon
Simon G-Brassard
I am from Chicoutimi, in the Saguenay, and have lived here all my life. I began my career as a triathlon athlete at 14 after seeing Pierre Lavoie in competition. My new career was off to a good start, but then a running injury forced me to focus exclusively on cycling. I was part of the semi-professional Éva-Devinci team for two years and I have also ran with other semi-professional teams from outside the region. During the past year, I was selected to participate in the Ironman World Championship. Returning to this endurance sport has been a unique experience for me. I hope I can train for a long time to come and become the best I can be at this sport which I love.

I consider myself very lucky to have been able to begin my sporting career with Devinci, which continues to support me. The Saguenay has also contributed to my love for the sport; the challenges of the region’s diverse terrain make it a perfect location for cyclists and there are hundreds of trails
