Real Tenacity
2010 Canadian champion rides a Devinci | On June 27, 2010 a member of our team was crowned as the U23 Canadian champion in Edmonton, Alberta. After a gripping race, Nativo/PG/Devinci rider Arnaud Papillon, wearing his Team Quebec jersey, took his place with panache among the best Canadian cycling prospects.

Already known for his cool composure and sharp instincts, Arnaud will now also be recognized as road warrior atop his profession. He is a very clever and feared rider for his ability to read a race while attacking strongly in decisive moments, showing his courage and audacity.

After a horrible year in which he was a victim of road rage ever present in our sport, Arnaud challenged himself to return to form by the end of 2009. His chances went up in smoke when his team dismantled, and after an unfortunate fall during his participation in the Costa Rica Tour with the Tour du Québec jersey.

Arnaud then decided to join our ranks with an even stronger hunger to win. With his experiences in past performances at the Tour de l’Avenir in 2008 and his continuously growing record of achievement, he understood that 2010 was an opportunity for the taking. With this mindset, he started off the season in strong fashion and now rides with a new team to support him in his quest.
His results thus far speak for themselves:

• 1st place at the St-Raymond Grand Prix (3rd stage)
• 2nd at the road race of the Charlevoix Grand Prix
• 3rd place overall at the Charlevoix Grand Prix
• 5th place overall in the Coupe des Nations Saguenay 2010
• U23 Canadian 2010 Champion – Edmonton, Alberta

This newly crowned champion rebounded from a tough year in 2009 and showed some real tenacity. He is now recognized as a complete rider that is a worthy role model to his peers.
